Brookfields Primary School

New School Uniform

Dear Parents/Carers,

We are writing to inform you that as of March 2019, Brookfields Primary School will have a new school uniform policy and some elements of the current uniform will be changing.

Sweatshirts, cardigans, polo shirts and book bags will be adorned with our new school logo (above).

We do not expect parents to replace uniform that still fits, instead please replace with the new uniform as and when required.

At Brookfields we have very high expectations for all of our children and want them all to succeed in their learning.  Wearing a smart uniform and looking like they are ready to learn is part of the journey to success.  Please help your child by ensuring they are wearing the correct uniform at all times.

To help you get it right, we have provided all parents with a uniform guide which outlines the expected school uniform from March.

You will be able to buy our school uniform from Gogna School Wear and Sports on Rookery Road, B21 9QU, or via the Gogna website www.gognaschoolwear.co.uk/ Book bags with the school logo can also be purchased direct from the School Office.

Prices:

Sweatshirt - £8.00

Cardigan - £9.50

Polo shirt - £6.00

Book bag – £5.00 (£4.50 if purchased from the school office)

Things to remember:

  • No drop or hooped earrings or bangles are to be worn in school.  Pupils may wear small stud earrings.  Sikh children may wear their Kara but it must be covered with an elastic bandage or sweat band for P.E.
  • No jewellery, other than that stated above, is allowed in school
  • Hairbands, bows and clips must be white, grey or navy – no decorative hair accessories
  • Any other decisions are based on health and safety grounds
  • Please label all items of clothing, including coats, with the child’s name
  • Book bags can be bought from the school office

I hope you all approve of the new uniform policy and agree that a consistent approach will benefit all children.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs. S. Lees

Headteacher
