Dear parents and nursery children.
We hope you all had a nice weekend. A reminder that you need to fill in a form online for a reception place as the children do not automatically get a place. This is the last week you have to do this. If you need help with this, then you can go to the office an make an appointment to see Ms Downes.
Last week, we explored ice which was lots of fun and we listened to the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears which we have been learning to retell.
This week we shall be retelling the story using stick puppets, sensory play and mark making in oats and we shall be tasting different flavoured porridge and talk about which one we like the taste of.
See you all tomorrow. Don't forget your book bags.

English
Listen to the story below and then have a go and retelling the story. You can draw the characters from the story to help you.
Mark making
If you have porridge oats at home, put some in a flat plate or a tray and draw some patterns, circles and lines in it.
Go for a walk
Explore your garden or go for a walk and see if you can find any ice.
Take the ice inside and place it in a plate. Talk about what the ice feels like. What does the ice look like?
Where does ice come from? What happens to the ice when you are holding it or when it gets warm? If you can't find ice outdoors, use an ice cube from your freezer.
