Hello parents and children.
I hope you are all well and had a good weekend. I would like to say how it was nice to sit and talk to you face to face during our parent teacher meetings. I am so proud of all the children and how they have all settled well into nursery and the progress they have made since September, as does Miss Williams. It was pleasing to hear that all the children love coming to nursery. That made our day. I gave out some MarvellousMe codes to some parents that still need to join, please do this.
Also, you can apply for a reception place for your child and the closing date for this is January.
We had so much fun on Friday and you can see the pictures and videos on the Nursery Year Group page. Thank you for your consent to upload the photos and videos.
I would also like to highlight a useful document in the ‘useful website’ section called ‘What to Expect, when?’ This is a guide to your child’s learning and development in the early years foundation stage and it also gives you some ideas of how to support your child. Please note that all children are different and do not grow and develop at the same rate.
Below are some of the activities that we shall be learning this week.
See you all on Monday.
Rhyme of the week
Phonics - Listening Game
Listen to the sound story. Can you identify the sounds?
Start by reading the numbers on the power point below. Do you recognise all the numbers?
Parents get four pieces of paper or use post it notes if you have them and write a number on each of them from 0-3. Hold a number up and ask your child to collect that many number of objects or show this number on their fingers.
