Hello parents and children.
We hope you had a good, restful weekend. Just a quick reminder that your children will be bringing a reading book home for you to read to them. We would like you to read the book at least 3 times in the week so that they get familiar with the story. Explain any new words that they are unfamiliar with. Ask them to talk about what they can see in the pictures and ask questions about the book.
Your task this week is to teach your children our names. Only one child knows our names and the rest call us teacher.
Also from next week we would like the children to come into nursery independently. Miss Williams and I are there to assist them if they need help in finding their coat pegs and to put their bags and water bottles in the right place.
Finally, below are some tasks that we would like you to support your child with this week. Thank you for your continued support and please sign up to Marvellous Me if you have not already done so.
See you all on Monday.
Mrs Hussain and Miss Williams
Nursery Rhyme of the week
The rhyme for this week is 'Five Little Men in a flying Saucer.' Please support your child to sing this rhyme. Can the children tell you how many men are left when one flies away? Can they show this number on their fingers? Have fun learning this rhyme.
We went into the play ground with a beater and found different surfaces to drum. We found that some surfaces made a loud noise when drummed and some made a soft sound. Can you find different surfaces around the house to drum? Which surfaces make a loud sound and which make a soft sound? You can use a spoon or a pencil to drum with.
