Our finished pieces! We have worked really hard to apply our new skills and techniques! We looked at each others art work and it was clear we were all really proud as everyone erupted in a round of applause at each piece of work! While we gave feedback to each other we shared what we know about The Great Fire of London - we remembered so many facts!
Today we were learning how to use oil pastels to blend 2 colours together to create fire. We then applied this on a piece of card to begin our 'final piece'. Come back tomorrow to see the our masterpieces!
We looked closely at a section of St Paul's Cathedral and used our new techniques to help sketch it!
We have been learning to create shapes, dots and patterns using the charcoal. This helps to create texture.
We have started learning some techniques in our art lesson. We used charcoal and oil pastels to experiment with creating lines. We explored the different lengths and thickness. We then used a new skill called blending and smudging to create effect. We then applied these new skills to draw a house similar to the style in London during the Great Fire of London. One child shouted "This is the best day of my life" during the lesson! We had such a good time!
