Our finished pieces! We are so proud!
We applied the skill of printing to our backgrounds, using Andy Warhol as inspiration!
We have started our final pieces. We have applied the skill of painting with thick and thin brushes to create the background.
We have been learning to master the skill of 'printing'. We also practised mastering the skill of 'repeating prints' and 'overlapping prints'. These skills will help us when we start our final piece.
We have been learning about tints and tones. We have been learning that we can 'tint' by adding white and 'tone' by adding black. We experimented with different shades and created colour charts. We focused on blue and then we had lots of time to apply this to other colours.
We have been learning to master techniques; using thick and thin brushes. We experimented with different brushes and strokes. We enjoyed using this time to continue mixing colours too!
We have been learning how to make the secondary colours; orange, purple and red, by mixing the primary colours; red, yellow and blue.
