Friday 3rd July 2020

Good morning year 2,

Well done to all the children who have completed their activities set for them on active learnyes. Keep up the fantastic work.

Today, we are going to do some art by using our drawing skills.

Do you remember Rob Biddulph the author and illustrator? We hope you do because we are going to be following Rob's instructions on how to draw a gorilla and a cat. You will need some paper, a pencil and some colouring pencils. Remember to follow the instructions carefully and use the space on your page.

Click on the video to start your drawing.

#DrawWithRob 30 Gorilla

#DrawWithRob 28 Furry Purry Beancat

Once you have completed your drawing you can cut your animals out (ask an adult to use the scissors before cutting) and act out your own story using the animals as characters. You can name your characters and make your story as fun and exciting as you want.

Enjoy your day.

Have a wonderful weekend and see you back on here on Monday morning.

Happy new month year 2. Today is the first day of July smiley, so let us take this time and be thankful for what we achieved last month. Look back at your poster that you created at the beginning of June. Have you achieved any of your goals or targets? We hope you did. I achieved my goal of reading two new books that I bought and I also learnt how to make another special Jamaican healthy drink. If you have achieved any of your targets, then you should be extremely proud of yourself. Do not worry if you did not you can achieve them this month.

Today we are going to identify and use subordinating conjunctions. Click the link to follow the lesson. https://classroom.thenational.academy/lessons/to-identify-and-use-subordinating-conjunctions

Activity 2

Look at the picture below and write some sentences using the subordinating conjunction when, if, that or because.

For example

The illuminous flower will stop glowing if it is pulled from the ground.

Have a fantastic day. See you back here tomorrow.
