Maths

We have been learning to apply what we know about 2 digit numbers with addition. We have been learning how to add two 2 digit numbers. We used the dienes to help us to do this practically.

We have been looking the value of digits in numbers twenty one to twenty nine. We have recorded our understanding using the whole part part model. We have been saying the calculations twenty add one equals twenty one and saying it as 2 tens one equals twenty one,

We have been learning about place value - we looked at 1 digit numbers in the morning. We talked about them being ones. In the afternoon we looked at the value of the digits in 2 digit teen numbers. We were talking about the numbers using language tens and ones.

We have been learning about the inverse of addition and subtraction. We have been investigating ways of making 10 and subtracting from 10. This has been very challenging but we are determined learners!!!

We have been investigating number bonds to 10 and 20 using different resources. We have been systematic in finding out all of the options.

We have been learning to group and count objects in 2s and 5s

We have been learning about 2s and 5s as repeated addition. We have been using cubes to group and count objects to solve problems.
