We set up a tuff spot with pumpkins, fir cones, conkers which were in their shells and different coloured leaves. The children enjoyed exploring these things using magnifying glasses. We learnt the names of these objects and some children said that they had seen the pumpkins in shops.
11th October 2021
This week we decorated some CDs to hang up in our playground. We enjoyed looking at them when the sun shone on them. We used sticky back foam shapes which we had to peel off the backing paper. Some of us found this tricky but it helped us to develop our fine motor skills. We also used shiny sequins.
The children also enjoyed using the instruments on our new music wall.
Thursday 7th October 2021 - Poetry Day
Today was poetry day and we sang our nursery of the week song 'Five Little Men.' We then asked the children to name their favourite nursery rhymes and we sang these using actions. Our favourite rhymes were Wind the Bobbin Up, Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and Wheels on the Bus.
We had so much fun riding balance bikes today. The children found it a bit tricky to balance and to move the bikes. We shall keep practising to ride them.
