Nursery home learning week beginning 9th November 2020

We hope you are all well. Below are some activities for you to try at home. Parents please support your children at home with their learning.

EYFS staff
Our English focus is writing patterns. You can draw a pattern using items in your house, such as shaving foam on a tray, flour on a plate.
Writing patterns - Can you have a go at doing some of these patterns using a paper and pencil/pen/crayon?
Go onto BGFL 365. Go to My files. choose Patterns (Jit5).
Use the paintbrush button to make some patterns. Can you draw a wavy/zigzag line?
Big and Small
Our Maths focus this week is Size.
Can you find the big rubber ring?
Can you find the small blow up ball?
Can you find the big umbrella?
Can you find the small bucket?
Where are the small shells?
Where is the big/small boat?
Wednesday 11th November is Remembrance Day. Be as creative as you can be and make a poppy. Below are some ideas to help you.
Listen to the song about Goldlilocks. Can you sing along ? What different sizes were the bowls, chairs, beds and the bears?
Story time - Listen to the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
What was the name of the girl?
How many bears are in the story?
What did Goldilocks do?
How did baby Bear feel?
On Saturday, Hindus will be celebrating Diwali. Watch the video below to learn more about it.

Do you wear new clothes?
Draw around your hand and then make a mehndi pattern.
Ask an adult to read the story about Rama and Sita.
