Brookfield's Play Leaders
In our play leaders meeting we discussed a few topics that were on the agenda for our school. Our leaders really want to have there stamp on what happens at playtimes and lunchtime following our pupil voice questionnaire so we've made changes to the playground and created zoned areas that will help those children that may not want to particularly do sports so we have some mindfulness activities now taking place. The play leaders also gave feedback on what they've experienced first hand in the playground which was great to hear. As we continue to improve our play and lunchtimes we will be meeting on a regular basis to fine tune the changes that we've made already.
Well done Ibrahim Colad on achieving his Bronze award for the his play leader work at play time and lunchtime. Ibrahim is a very consistent play leader that always does his duty by playing games with KS1 children. Thank you for the work that you do in making our school environment outside even more active. Your work does not go unnoticed.
Pupils from Year 6 took part in play leaders training on Tuesday 12th November. Becoming a play leader is an integral part of the activities that take place outside. The pupils learnt what it means to be a playleader as well as finding out their roles and responsibility. Here are a few snaps from the morning training session.
