Happy New Year to all foundation children and families. Welcome to 2021! 🙂

We shall be sending you an invite to join us from Wednesday afternoon on Teams at 2.30pm for registration and where we will introduce the new way we are going to send you work using Microsoft Sway.

You will also need to go to BGFL365 to find the j2homework - EYFS link which has been sent. Your daily activities for home learning will be found here. The daily learning will also be found in the General Teams channel for your class. It is the 'assignment' with the relevant date.

We hope you all had a happy, healthy Christmas and we look forward to seeing you tomorrow. Please notice the time change from our previous Team meetings where we met twice a day but now we shall only be meeting once.

See you all tomorrow on Teams.

We have been practising our Christmas song all week. It was fun! Our teachers were impressed by how quickly we had learnt it.

What’s in the curiosity cube this week?

In the morning we found ice and frost in our playground

Zia  - Why is there ice in there?
Khadija - The ice is slippery

Muhammad - It’s melting because of the sun

Adam - The ice crystal feels cold

Making instruments - Shakers

Week beginning 23rd November 2020

We have used rollers to make prints using different colours. We talked what happened when the colours were mixed.

We used different materials to make our pictures. We named the colours and described the textures of the things we used.

Week beginning Monday 9th November 2020.

This week we are learning from home. Our fantastic parents are helping us to access Teams on our BGFL 365 learning platform, so that we can join our teachers for register, Phonics, story time and Maths.

Some of our tasks

We have been learning about internet safety. We listened to a story of Smartie the Penguin. We talked about what we use to access the internet. A lot of us have iPads and laptops that we use to play online games. We talked about what we would do in certain situations.
We made two displays. The first one all the children in Foundation did a hand print to form a tree.
The second display was made after we went on a Autumn walk. We did some leaf printing and used natural objects to make a picture of ourselves in a frame. We had lots of fun and have been very busy with our learning.
