Weather and Climate

We have been using maps and atlases to help us find out about the different climates around the world. We know that countries closer to the equator are hotter places. We completed three activities - using a map to colour hot and cold places, sorting different suitcases to the correct country, comparing weather forecasts for UK and Australia

We have been learning about extreme weathers. Here are some key words.

It's really important to take steps to stay safe in extreme weathers. This song was from a campaign in Australia. It was used to remind and help people protect themselves in extreme heat.

We have been learning about weather forecasting. We have discussed who forecasts the weather and why we need it. We had a go at planning and presenting our own weather forecast!
