Week beginning 21st September 2020

We are learning the sound these letters make. What is the phoneme (sound)?

What is the picture? Say the word. What phoneme (sound) do these words start with?

Maths - This week in maths we are making repeated patterns.

Look at the patterns below.

This repeated pattern is red, yellow, red, yellow, red, yellow, red, yellow, red.
Tell your parents what patterns you can see.
Now you can practise making patterns using the link below.
Below are some patterns made from things found in the garden. What can you find to make patterns?
You can use lots of different things to make a pattern. I used pens and books.
pen, book, pen, book, pen, book

Nursery

We would like nursery children to learn their colours. Watch the nursery rhyme below. Can you sing along?

I can sing a rainbow | Early Years - Nursery Rhymes

Suitable for teaching 0-5s. An animated and subtitled version of the popular nursery rhyme, I Can Sing a Rainbow.

Can you name the colours in the rainbow? If you find it tricky, keep practising.
Go for a colour hunt around your house. Can you find something that is red? Can you find anything blue?
