So to re-cap
1. Phonics and English 9am-10am
2. 10am play time but at home, chat on J2chat or teams.
3. 10:15am-11am Maths work
4. 12:30pm-1:30pm meet me on teams.
You can have your lunch in your house when your parents give it to you.
I would like to say a big THANK YOU to all the children for coming back and continuing with their learning as if they never left. It has been clear they missed school and I am proud to teach such wonderful children, with that being said, thank you to you-the parents.
I have had many laughs and jokes this term, my job is all the more rewarding when the children I teach enjoy coming into my classroom.
I hope you all have a good holiday and to those celebrating I wish you a Merry Christmas!
After the holidays in science we will be learning about animals including humans as our topic. If you would like to bring in pictures of yourself as a baby, toddler and how you look now this would be FAB!
Watch the video below with your family. Do you remember the beginning, middle and end? We will be writing the story this week in English. Remember the adjectives from last week!
“Run! The fire is coming!”
What an exciting week we have had in Y2! We have been continuing to learn about the Great Fire of London and have applied our knowledge in various ways.
We made a timeline of the key events of the fire.
We explored significant people like Samuel Pepys. Do you remember who he was?
We saw his actual diary! This is called an artefact. What is an artefact?
Then we wrote diary entries in history from the perspective of Samuel Pepys.
Well done to EVERY child this week. You were all so happy to come back to school. We have missed you all a lot! We are glad to be working with you and your families again. Thank you for your effort so far. Please be on time to school so you do not miss a single minute of a lesson. Year 2 is a very important year!
