Good morning year 2,

We hope you are well. Did you manage to remember all your 2d and 3d shapes? We hope you did and enjoyed the activity yesterday. Today we are going to do some English, we are going to watch the video clip below called caterpillar shoes and answer some questions about the video. Click the link to play the video. https://www.literacyshed.com/caterpillar-shoes.html

Activity 1

Answer these questions about the video, you can talk about them to a family member before writing down your answers. Remember to write your answers in full sentences using a capital letter, finger spaces and a full stop. You can watch the video as many times as you need to.

  1. What did the caterpillar do all day?
  2. What did the shoes stop?
  3. Why do you think caterpillar's shoes felt tight and small?
  4. Write in order the creatures that caterpillar met

grasshopper, snail, spider, flea, beetle, woodlouse, earthworm, stick insect

  1. Who did not need any shoes?
  2. Which creature did the caterpillar not see?
  3. How many shoes did the snail keep?

Activity 2

Choose one of the creatures from caterpillar shoes and draw them with a pair of shoes. The shoes can be a design of your choice. Write a sentence underneath to say what the shoes will do or how it will help your creature.

The answers to the questions will be up at 4pm today.

Remember to do some physical activity and get out in the fresh air; this week is supposed to be filled with sunshine, so the perfect time to get out.

Have a good day.

Good morning year 2,

We hope you had a great day being active yesterday. Today we are going to do some math, focusing on odd and even numbers. Watch the video using the link below and then complete activity 2. You will not need your home learning book for this activity. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zr23c7h

Once you have finished activity 2, complete the questions below. You will need your home learning book or a piece of paper to write on. Write the number of each activity as a heading, so you know which section to mark when you have finished. Do not worry about not being able to write on the  question sheet, you can write odd and even underneath your heading and decide which numbers are odd or even; you can also write your explanation to the questions in your book.

Once you have completed the feelings activity, log on to active learn https://www.activelearnprimary.co.uk/login?c=0 and complete any of the activities that you have not done yet.
