Welcome to Year 3
Welcome to our Y3 page! This is where we will be documenting our learning experiences and also posting any useful documents and links to support with your child's learning. We hope you enjoy celebrating Y3's learning with us.
What did the Romans eat?
We found out by being archeologists and excavating coprolites (fossilised poo!) that we made!
3B learnt that the Romans ate oranges and melons so left that evidence for 3C to find. 3C learnt that the Romans ate bread so left evidence of seeds and grains for 3B to find.
What else did they eat?
Thursday 5th March- World Book Day!
The Enormous Crocodile by Roald Dahl
After learning to tell the story through dance on Monday we wanted to catch the nasty crocodile. We made wanted posters to stick around school to try and find him. Then, we made traps to catch him.
We have been learning about what happened in Pompeii when Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79AD.
We made volcanoes using plastic, paper and cardboard, then painted and decorated them .
Watch them erupt!

It's Maths Investigation Day! What will we find out today?
So far we have learnt the divisibility rules and investigated which numbers are in which times tables.
Now we have a mystery to solve! Who stole the glue sticks?
Was it a girl or a boy? Did they have long or short hair? How tall are they?
It was Markus!!
