British Science Week 6th - 15th March 2020.
This years theme is Our Diverse Planet.
In Science we have been learning about living things and their habitats. Today, as part of science week, we went on a hunt for invertebrates. We found a range of different invertebrates from woodlice to worms to slugs. We look at the conditions they lived and in and discussed what they would need to survive. As humans, it is our job to protect our planet including all that live on it so we returned to the class room to design a bug hotel. We decided it needed to be made from sustainable material as to not have a negative impact on our environment. Here are just a few pictures of our designs.
World Book Day 2020.
On Thursday 5th March, we came to school dressed as a book character.
As Wonder is our class novel we created our own precepts. Here are a few pictures from our day.

Today was our problem solving day. In Year 6 we had 5 different problems to solve to break the code. Luckily we worked well together and found out the code in time to go home! All of the children enjoyed working together in groups and even though they found some parts tricky, they persevered. Here are a few photos of us working together.

Today we started our Visual Literacy topic based all around The Muppets Christmas Carol. We started off by watching the film and then we did some art work.
Our art work was to use our skills of sketching to draw some of the ghosts from A Christmas Carol. We had a range of artist illustrations to copy from. Here are a few examples.
