Please find the knowledge organiser for this half term's Art unit. Formal elements of art. We will upload some of the wow work throughout the term!
Inspired by the work of Bridget Riley, we picked our favourite type of line and then joined our individual pieces to create 'op' art. It is a bit of an optical illusion, it's almost as if the lines are moving! We were thrilled by our final piece!
We learned about artist Bridget Riley. She used lines to create the feeling of movement. We are learning about a formal element of art; line. After looking at some of her famous pieces we experimented with different types of line. First with string, then pencil and finally chalk!
