Pupils and staff at Brookfields Primary School in Hockley have been celebrating after they received recognition for all of the positive changes that have taken place at the school in recent years.
In March, the school was visited by the schools’ inspectorate, Ofsted, for the first time since it received the education watchdog’s lowest rating in 2017. This was a full two-day inspection where every aspect of life at Brookfields Primary School was reviewed, discussed and evaluated.
We are delighted to confirm that during our recent inspection, Ofsted recognised the incredible transformation that has taken place at Brookfields Primary School over the last few years. As a result, our school has now been rated ‘Good’ across every category.
What is more important than any rating, however, are the many wonderful comments in the report about our children, our staff and our community. We are absolutely committed to providing the best possible opportunities for our children and our families, it is what drives us.
Within their report inspectors found, for example, that “Staff and children ‘SHINE’ at Brookfields Primary School. Pupils know that adults care about them. In return, pupils work hard and are happy at this nurturing and inclusive school.”
Inspectors also reported that “Parents and carers are overwhelmingly positive about the school. They are confident to send their children to a school where they feel that ‘staff care for and support each and every child’.”
Other positive comments about our school community included:
This feedback represents a significant milestone for our school and I am incredibly proud of the changes that have taken place here. There is certainly a bright future ahead for Brookfields and so much for us to look forward to.”
